Culinary

  CULINARY - the art or process of cooking / relevant to the kitchen .


      



      COOKING -  the transfer of heat energy from a heat energy from a heat source to a food; this energy alters the food's molecules structure, changing its texture, flavor, aroma, & appearance.





            RESTORATIVE - had been used to describe rich & highly flavored soups or stews capable of restoring lost strengths.

Bartending

  BARTENDING - Spirits are one of the main ingredients in mixed drinks, along with other alcoholic beverages, mixers and garnishes. They are prepared by distillation from a fermented substance such as fruit, vegetables, grain, sugar cane, cactus juice, etc.




  * LIQUERS - is an infusion of fruit, sugar syrup or the other flavors to brandy spirits.











  * CORDIAL - is a sweet non-alcoholic essence made from fruit & mixed w/ water & other liquid.




  
 

Restaurant

restaurant - a place where meals are served for payment.
               - derived from the French word restaurer ( to restore)



  





    > MENU -
        a list of foods & beverages available for purchases.




        TYPES OF MENU
     
      ♠  STATIC MENU - all patrons are offered the same food everyday.
     ♠ CYCLE MENU - developed for a set period; at the end of that period it repeat itself.
    ♠ MARKET MENU -  based on  product availability during a specific period; it is written to use foods when they are picked season or rapidly available.

Hotel

Hotel - a large building w/ a residence accommodation & often meals .
